PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicular electrocardiographic device which is hardly affected by noises even if the distance from an electrode is long.SOLUTION: The vehicular electrocardiographic device includes a direct electrode 2 arranged on a steering wheel 1 of the vehicle for detecting the physical electric potential of the vehicle driver through the contact with the skin of the vehicle driver, a capacitive coupling electrode 6 arranged on the seat 4 of the vehicle for detecting the physical electric potential of the driver in electrical insulation state, and an electrocardiogram wave pattern measurement instrument 8 for measuring the electrocardiogram wave pattern of the vehicle driver based on an electric potential in direct electrode 2 and an electric potential in the capacitive coupling electrode 6. In addition, a steering side amplifier 16 is provided for amplifying the detection signal from the direct electrode 2 and outputting the same to the electrocardiogram wave pattern measurement instrument 8, in a manner that the steering side amplifier 16 is positioned nearer to the steering side than to a spiral cable 10a which connects the electrocardiogram wave pattern measurement instrument 8 with the steering side amplifier 16. Furthermore, a seat side amplifier 22 for amplifying a detection signal from the capacitive coupling electrode 6 and outputting the same to the electrocardiogram wave pattern measurement instrument 8 is arranged in the lower side of a surface cover 30 of a sitting section 4a of a seat 4.
