PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide feed substituting conventional roughage and concentrate, causing no ruminal acidosis and high in nutritive value and feed efficiency.
SOLUTION: There are provided: a ruminant feed containing &ge80 wt.% cellulose and/or hemicellulose as dried solid the ruminant feed containing pulp derived from wood and/or non-wood the ruminant feed defined in claim 2, wherein the crystallinity of the pulp is &le70% the ruminant pulp, wherein the pulp is one pulped without passing through a drying step the ruminant feed, wherein the moisture content of the pulp is &ge50% and the ruminant feed, wherein the pulp is one produced by the kraft process.
