The current method of stabilizing the reduced dislocated condyles (a part of mandible/lower jaw) by using Barton™s bandage is compromised by problems like retention and stability. Herein we disclose the design of an elastic bandage which can be used to stabilize reduced dislocated condyles. Elasticity of the bandage offers better retention and stability. Mechanisms are provided to adjust the tension in the bandage by the patient. Materials required for fabrication of the said bandage are readily available and economical.
