A data detection device is used in combination with a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus. A magnetic field detection unit (34) serves to detect a temporally varying magnetic field generated by the MRI apparatus, and a timestamping unit (35) generates magnetic field detection timestamps in dependence of the detected temporally varying magnetic field. This allows determining a temporal relation to acquired MRI data.La présente invention concerne un dispositif de détection de données destiné à une utilisation en combinaison avec un appareil d'IRM. Une unité de détection de champ magnétique (34) sert à détecter un champ magnétique variant dans le temps produit par l'appareil d'IRM, et une unité d'horodatage (35) génère des estampilles de détection de champ magnétique en fonction du champ magnétique variant dans le temps détecté. Cela permet de déterminer une relation temporelle aux données d'IRM acquises.
