PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe medicament capable of simultaneously realizing (1) decrease in a blood concentration of homocysteine (Hcy), (2) enhancement in activity of an endothelial nitrogen monoxide synthase (eNOS) and/or increase in a blood concentration of nitrogen monoxide due to a vascular endothelial cell, and (3) enhancement in activity of glutathione peroxidase (GPx).
SOLUTION: This medicinal composition contains a hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor and glutathione. The HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor preferably comprises one, two, or more kinds selected from a group consisting of pravastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin, fluvastatin, atorvastatin, pitavastatin, and rosuvastatin.
