PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the shape of a stent when indwelling the stent inside a blood vessel.
SOLUTION: The mathematical model of a platelet thrombus forming process when the stent is indwelled inside the blood vessel is developed, information relating to the characteristics of the stent stored beforehand is referred to first, and a calculating formula for calculating adhesive strength corresponding to the activation grade of thrombocytes is selected from the calculating formulas stored beforehand. Then, on the basis of the calculating formula corresponding to the thrombocytes of each activation grade, the adhesive strength of the thrombocytes is calculated. Finally, simulation is executed by the procedure of outputting the integrated condition of the thrombocytes around the stent from the calculated adhesive strength of the respective thrombocytes.
