A device to assist a person to rise from a seated position comprising a pairof verticallaterally spaced frame members, in which each frame members has a slopedhandrail extendingalong the top of the frame members, whereby the hand rails provides a handgripping region toassist a user from an initial seated position to rise by pulling on a lowerregion of the handrail,while reacting with feet on a floor member, and further provides progressivelyhigher grippingregions for support while standing and walking.
