Methods of fruit thinning fruit bearing plants using photosynthesis inhibiting fruit thinning agents are disclosed. Methods of determining the amount and/or timing of a first dose of photosynthesis inhibiting fruit thinning agents to be applied to a fruit bearing plant to thin fruit on the plant are disclosed. Methods of determining whether a second application of photosynthesis inhibiting fruit thinning agent is required to be applied to thin fruit on the plant, and if so the amount and/or timing thereof, are also disclosed. Methods of determining whether a dose of a photosynthesis inhibiting fruit thinning agent is required to be applied to a fruit bearing plant to thin fruit on the plant.L'invention concerne des procédés permettant de réduire la fructification d'arbres fruitiers à l'aide d'agents de réduction de la fructification inhibant la photosynthèse. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de déterminer la quantité et/ou le moment d'application d'une première dose de l'agent inhibiteur de la photosynthèse sur un arbre fruitier pour en réduire la fructification. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de déterminer si une seconde application de l'agent inhibiteur de photosynthèse sur l'arbre fruitier est nécessaire pour en réduire la fructification, et le cas échéant, de déterminer la quantité et/ou le moment d'application. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de déterminer si l'application d'une dose d'un agent inhibiteur de la photosynthèse sur un arbre fruitier est nécessaire pour en réduire la fructification.
