PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions and methods for inducing maturation of immature dendritic cells (DC) and for priming these cells for induction of type 1 immune response.SOLUTION: The invention also provides populations of dendritic cells useful for activating and preparing T cells polarized for type 1 cytokine production and/or type 1 response. Also provided are activated and polarized T cell populations and methods for preparing them.
