PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a herbicide composition having a higher herbicidal effect, a wide herbicidal spectrum, and excellently safe herbicidal properties and to provide an effective weed controlling method.SOLUTION: When indanofan or an optically active substance thereof is used with dimethametryn and applied to paddy field water treatment or to treatment of stems/leaves of weeds, various kinds of weeds can be effectively removed.
