The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a protein aggregate-inducing disease and more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a protein aggregate-inducing disease which comprises a) melatonin as a first active component and b) a combination of autophagy inducing agents as a second active component. The present invention provides the composition having an outstanding effect comparing to a conventional autophagy effect, and is the first to identify that melatonin-induced autophagy is mediated by a mTOR-dependent pathway.본 발명은 단백질 응집체-유도 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약제학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, (a) 제1유효성분으로서의 멜라토닌 및 (b) 제2유효성분으로서의 자식작용(autophagy) 유도제의 조합(combination)을 포함하는 단백질 응집체-유도 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약제학적 조성물이다. 본 발명은 종래의 자식작용 효과보다 우수한 효과를 갖는 조성물을 제공하고, 멜라토닌에 의해 유도되는 자식작용이 mTOR-의존 경로에 의해 매개됨을 최초로 규명하였다.
