The processing circuitry is configured to obtain pieces of Doppler image data in a time series rendering a blood flow in an analysis target formed in a blood vessel. The processing circuitry is configured to analyze the pieces of Doppler image data in the time series and to calculate an index value based on temporal changes in a first blood flow signal intensity level in a first region of interest including the blood flow in the analysis target.
