The present invention provides a gas generator including a water tank, an electrolyzer, a condensation filter, a humidifier, and a pump device. The electrolyzer is connected to the water tank in order to electrolyze the electrolyzed water stored in the water tank in order to generate the hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas. The hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas is condensed, and the electrolyte in the hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas is filtered by a condensation filter to generate a filtered hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas. The humidifier contains charged water and is connected to a condenser that humidifies the filtered hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas. Since the filling water is recirculated from the humidifier to the water tank by the pump device, the electrolyte absorbed by the condensing filter returns to the water tank and the consumption of the electrolyte is reduced.
