PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder cosmetic which increases dispersion of a fine particle metal oxide and has an excellent ultraviolet protection effect, an excellent moisturizing feeling and smooth feeling of use without a creaking feeling specific to an ultraviolet scattering agent.SOLUTION: There is provided a powder cosmetic containing a surface coating-treated powder obtained by subjecting the surface of a powder to coating treatment with at least one selected from the group consisting of (A) a hydrophobized fine particle metal oxide, (B) ceramides, a specific dextrin fatty acid ester and a fructo-oligosaccharide fatty acid ester.
