PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative which is synthesized by a short-time synthesis reaction, hyaluronic acid hydrogel containing a polymer of the same, and a contact lens.SOLUTION: The polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative has an optionally substituted (meth)acrylic acid alkylisocyanate or (meth)acrylic acid alkyloxyalkylisocyanate forming a urethane linkage with the primary hydroxy group of hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid hydrogel contains the polymer of the polymerizable hyaluronic acid derivative.
