The present invention includes IL-13 binding proteins. Specifically, the invention relates to chimeric antibodies, CDR-grafted antibodies, and antibodies that are humanized antibodies. Preferred antibodies have high affinity for hIL-13 and neutralize hIL-13 activity in vitro and in vivo. The antibodies of the present invention may be full-length antibodies and antigen-binding portions thereof. Methods of making and using the antibodies of the invention are also provided.
