A product distributing machine for moving on the ground, comprising: a tank configured to hold the product to be distributed; a dispenser for controlling the release of the product from the tank; a plurality of product passages through which the product passes after the dispenser; a plurality of mass flow sensors configured to measuring the product flow rate through the product passageways, with each sensor generating an output signal indicating the product flow rate past the sensor; od dispenser with a variable speed; and an controller configured to control the dispenser drive speed and change the dispenser drive speed during the dispenser calibration process from the first dispenser speed to the second dispenser speed, while at the second dispenser speed, the sensor accuracy is higher than at the first dispenser speed. 2. The machine according to claim 1, in which the controller is configured to signal a change in the speed of the machine to bring it into line with the change in the speed of the dispenser during the calibration process. The machine according to claim 2, in which the signal for changing the speed of the machine is a visual signal to the operator to manually change the speed of the machine. The machine according to claim 2, in which the signal for changing the speed of the machine is an electronic signal to the speed controller of the towing vehicle.
