An air treatment device for the vaporization of an air freshening substance, the device comprising: a replaceable cartridge comprising a reservoir, for containing the air freshening substance, and a wick, in fluid communication with the reservoir, having a top end and a bottom end defining a wick height； a heating means for heating the wick to a predetermined temperature to vaporize the air freshening substance； a heating means support for retaining the heating means； and a housing enclosing at least the heating means and heating means support therein, and having at least one opening for allowing the vaporized air freshening substance to exit the air treatment device.
