The present invention relates to a composition for treating, alleviating, or preventing obesity containing dracaena draco extracts as an active ingredient, wherein the dracaena draco extracts have effects of preventing cells from turning into fat and suppressing the accumulation of neutral fats by inhibiting the differentiation of preadipocytes (3T3-L1), the expression of a differentiation regulatory factor of fat cells and the activity of metabolism enzymes, thereby having excellent effects of treating, alleviating, and preventing obesity. Moreover, the dracaena draco extracts can be widely used for treatment, alleviation, or prevention of obesity due to no side effects by having no cytotoxicity and being derived from natural materials.본 발명은 드라세나 드라코 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 비만 치료, 개선 또는 예방용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 드라세나 드라코 추출물은 지방전구세포(3T3-L1)의 분화를 저해하고, 지방세포의 분화 조절인자의 발현을 저해하며, 대사관련 효소의 활성을 저해함으로써 세포의 지방화를 방지하고, 중성 지방의 축적을 억제하는 효과가 있어, 비만의 치료, 개선 및 예방 효과가 우수할 뿐만 아니라, 세포 독성이 없고, 천연물질로부터 유래된 것이므로 부작용도 문제되지 아니하여 비만의 치료, 개선 또는 예방을 위해 널리 사용할 수 있다.
