PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-ageing agent, a slimming agent, a humectant, and a skin cosmetic which each contains a Commelina communis extract.
SOLUTION: This anti-ageing agent having an anti-ageing function, the slimming agent having a slimming action, and a humectant having a moisture-retaining action each contains a Commelina communis extract. The anti-ageing function is preferably at least one mode selected from a collagen production-promoting action, a hyaluronic acid, a fibroblast-proliferating action and a keratoma-proliferating action, and a mode wherein the slimming action is a cyclic AMP phosphodiesterase-inhibiting action is preferable. The skin cosmetic contains the Commelina communis extract as an active ingredient.
