PURPOSE: A body type verifying method for a thermotherapy device is provided to calculate the backbone length of a patient based on the operational currents of a horizontal motor and to accurately verify the positions of the cervical vertebra, the thoracic vertebra, the lumbar vertebra, and the coccyx of the backbone. CONSTITUTION: A controlling part operates a cauter(110) by using a horizontal motor(140) in order to scan the entire backbone of a patient. The backbone length of a patient is calculated based on the operational currents of the horizontal motor. A first body type verifying point is detected from the first vertebra or the tenth vertebra based on the measured curve of the operational currents. A second body type verifying point is detected by measuring the difference of the operational currents of the horizontal motor between the current position and the preceding position of the cauter. The length of the entire backbone and lengths of vertebrae are calculated based on the standard data of the backbone in database and the two body type verifying points.본 발명은 온열치료기용 신체체형 판단방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 제어부가 수평 모터를 이용하여 온구기를 구동하여 사용자의 전체 척추를 스캔하고, 상기 수평모터의 동작 전류를 측정하여 인체의 척추길이를 산정하고, 척추를 구성하는 경추, 흉추, 요추, 미추의 각각의 위치를 정확히 파악함으로써, 그 사람에 맞는 경혈점을 산출하여 온열 치료에 이용하도록 하는 온열치료기용 신체체형 판단방법에 관한 것이다.이를 위하여 본 발명에 따른 온열치료기용 신체체형 판단방법은 수평모터는 제어부의 제어신호에 의해 이송경로를 따라 온구기를 구동하여 사용자의 전체 척추를 스캔하는 제1단계와, 상기 수평모터의 동작 전류를 측정하고, 상기 측정된 동작 전류 곡선으로부터 척추뼈 1번 또는 10번 영역으로부터 첫 번째 체형판단점을 검출하는 제2단계, 온구기가 이동함에 따라 상기 온구기의 현재위치에서의 수평모터 동작 전류와 이전위치의 수평모터 동작전류 차이의 변화를 측정하여 최대값을 피크치로 판별하여, 두 번째 체형판단점으로 검출하는 제3단계, 데이터베이스에 저장된 척추의 표준데이터를 도출하고, 상기 표준 데이터와 상기 두 개의 체형판단점을 이용하여 전체 척추의 길이 및 척추뼈 길이를 산출하는 제4단계와, 제어부는 상기 구해진 구성요소별 척추의 길이를 수평모터의 제어값으로 하여 수평모터를 제어하는 제5단계를 포함하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다.
