PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle assembly which prevents an outer needle from accidentally bending when the indwelling needle assembly is inserted into a blood vessel and fixed there and the outer needle indwelled in a target area is deeply inserted after an inner needle is removed.SOLUTION: The indwelling needle assembly 1 is equipped with the inner needle 4 having a sharp needle tip at the distal end, an inner needle hub fixed in a proximal end of the inner needle, the outer needle 2 constituted of a tubular body which has flexibility and has a lumen 21 where the inner needle 4 is inserted, an outer needle hub fixed in a proximal end of the outer needle 2, and a reinforcing material 8 for reinforcing the outer needle 2. The reinforcing material 8 is constituted of a linear element which has a linear shape in a natural state where no external force is applied and penetrates through the lumen 21 of the outer needle 2 with the inner needle 4.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】留置針組立体を血管内に挿入し、位置を固定した状態で、外針が目的部位に留置され、内針が抜去された後、さらに外針を前進させた際に外針が不本意に撓むのを防止することができる留置針組立体を提供すること。【解決手段】留置針組立体1は、先端に鋭利な針先を有する内針4と、内針の基端部に固定された内針ハブと、可撓性を有し、内針4が挿通される内腔21を有する管体で構成された外針2と、外針2の基端部に固定された外針ハブと、外針2を補強する補強材8とを備えている。そして、補強材8は、外力を付与しない自然状態で直線状をなす1本の線状体で構成され、内針4とともに外針2の内腔21を挿通している。【選択図】図5
