<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus which facilitates the acquisition of the appropriate illumination light corresponding to a type of an adapter to be attached by a simple structure. <；P>；SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus is equipped with a main body section of the endoscope having an insertion section to be inserted in an examinee and executes the observation of the examinee by interchangeably attaching the adapter 10a having an illumination section 12 which irradiates the examinee with the illumination light to the insertion section, wherein the main body section of the endoscope is equipped with a power source section which is electrically connected to the illumination section 12 and supplies the electric power to the illumination section 12 when the adapter 10a is attached to the insertion section and an electric power correction means 53 which is disposed in series or in parallel with the illumination section 12 in a closed circuit of the electrically connected power source section and the illumination section 12 and corrects the electric power supplied from the power source section to the illumination section 12. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
