PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for sealing throat parts of dead bodies by which leakage of body fluid from throat parts can surely be prevented without using an insufflator or an injector.SOLUTION: A body fluid-absorbing material having a highly water-absorbing polymer is included in an expanded columnar body and the expanded columnar body is charged into a flexible catheter and the flexible catheter and a flexible contact member are together inserted into the throat part in a condition in which the expanded columnar body is packed. Then, the flexible catheter and the flexible contact member are relatively moved to dash out the expanded columnar body charged into the flexible catheter and the expanded columnar body is fed into the throat part, and body fluid is absorbed by the highly water-absorbing polymer and the expanded columnar body is expanded to seal the throat part.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】従来技術では、注入器や注射器を使っているため、粉体等の体液漏出剤を鼻奥まで即ち咽喉部まで注入することができず、体液の漏出を十分に防止できない。本発明は、注入器や注射器を使わずに、咽喉部からの体液漏出を確実に防止できる遺体の咽喉部封止装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】高吸水性ポリマーを有する体液吸収材を膨張柱状体に内在させておき、この膨張柱状体を可撓性カテーテル中に装填させ、この膨張柱状体が装填されたままで可撓性カテーテル及び可撓性当て部材とを一緒にして咽喉部まで挿入する。その後、可撓性カテーテルと可撓性当て部材とを相対移動させて、可撓性カテーテル中内に装填した膨張柱状体を飛び出させて、咽喉部に膨張柱状体を送り込み、高吸水性ポリマーで体液を吸収するとともに、膨張柱状体が膨張することで咽喉部を封止する。【選択図】図1
