A portable NPWT system includesa dressing assembly for positioning over a woundto apply a negative pressure to the wound and acanister assembly. The canister assembly includesa control unit having a vacuum source and a controllerand a collection canister in communicationwith the dressing assembly operable to receive fluidfrom the wound.
