Cleaning and protective compositions for using the compositions on articles such as touch screens, screen protectors for portable devices, computers or other electronic devices, and methods of using such compositions. The composition includes a polymer film forming agent. The polymer film former is an oxazoline homopolymer or an extended or modified polymer based on an oxazoline homopolymer. The polymer film former forms a retention coating to retain the components in the composition for an extended period of time. The composition is also present in a kit having an application device.
