PURPOSE: A temperature sensor for a under water heater is provided to control the operation of the heater by accurately calculating an amount of fluid around a portion where the heater is arranged by minimizing measured capacitance data deviation. CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor for a under water heater comprises a temperature sensor(52), a main substrate(54), a capacitance sensor(56), an auxiliary substrate(58), a signal line(68), and a molding member(60). A circuit processing sensed temperature data is mounted on the main substrate. A capacitance sensing circuit is mounted on the auxiliary substrate. The capacitance sensing circuit is electrically connected to the capacitance sensor, thereby processing the sensed capacitance data. The capacitance sensing circuit comprises an outer capacitance detecting unit, a reference capacitive terminal, and a comparison unit. The signal line transmits the data sensed by the temperature sensor and capacitance sensor to an external control circuit.
