An optically active structure can include short lines (23) or continuous lines (26) or can apply patterns with dot (25) or elliptical (24) shapes. Such structures can be worked into a pane by applying a laser beam over the pane's surface, e.g. by using a deflective lens with mirrors or by moving the laser's source. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) A method for avoiding a bird's impact on transparent panes； (b) and for a window or door with a transparent pane and a frame with a lighting device with a wavelength below 500 nm； (c) and for a double pane with two transparent panes filled in between with a gas.
