PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for determination of sleepiness and a program highly precisely determining the sleepiness.SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for determining the sleepiness of a subject is provided with a characteristic amount extraction means extracting a characteristic amount changing according to the sleepiness of the subject, means 12, 13 and 14 determining the sleepiness of the subject based on the characteristic amount extracted by the characteristic amount extraction means 11, and a storage means 10 storing a past history of sleepiness determination of the subject based on the determination results of the means 12, 13 and 14.
