PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfume material containing ethyl safranate and having improved fragrance and to provide a perfume composition.
SOLUTION: The perfume material usable for a perfume recipe of a different type is obtained by regulating the content of ethyl 2,6,6-trimethylcyclohexa-2,4-diene-1-carboxylate so as to be &le8 mass%. The perfume composition is also provided.
