[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a leg supporter which can support the gastrocnemius muscle from front to back and from side to side, without disturbing the movements of the Achilles tendon, and prevent excessive vibration of the gastrocnemius muscle to thereby reduce the wearers fatigue. The leg supporter comprises: a first anchor section (2) for tightening the wearers below-knee part with a tubular knitted fabric a second anchor section (3) for tightening the wearers above-ankle part with the tubular knitted fabric and a gastrocnemius muscle-supporting section (4) which is a roughly X-shaped knitted fabric intersecting in the neighborhood of a point facing the joint (102a) of the gastrocnemius muscle (101) and the Achilles tendon (102) in the back face side of the tubular knitted fabric, two ends of said roughly X-shaped knitted fabric being joined to the first anchor section (2) respectively to support the gastrocnemius muscle (101) while the remaining two ends of said roughly X-shaped knitted fabric being joined to the second anchor section (3) respectively and extending along the both sides of the Achilles tendon.
