PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electronic tonometer which can accurately measure the lowest blood pressure without causing variations depending on the individual difference and measurement condition of a subject. SOLUTION: In this electronic tonometer, when a displacement H of a bottom point from the biggest gradient point from the bottom point that preceeds the pulse wave element overlapping a cuff pressure to a peak point becomes smaller than the specified threshold, the cuff pressure level at the time when pulse wave elements are detected is determined as the lowest blood pressure. Thus, the lowest blood pressure is accurately determined without using a variation profile of a swing range of pulse waves which are notably influenced by the individual difference and measurement condition of the subject.
