A method for predicting premature birth and a system thereof are provided. The method comprises the steps of: detecting an electrohysterogram signal of a user from an initial signal received through at least one electrode attached to the body of the user to predict premature birth； generating feature information of the detected electrohysterogram signal； and calculating a premature birth risk of the user based on the feature information.조산을 예측하기 위한 방법 및 시스템이 제공된다. 조산을 예측하기 위해 사용자의 몸에 부착된 적어도 하나의 전극을 통해 수신한 초기 신호로부터 사용자의 자궁 근전도 신호가 검출되고, 검출된 자궁 근전도 신호의 특징 정보가 생성되며, 특징 정보에 기초하여 사용자의 조산 위험도가 계산된다.
