PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of forming a plurality of ultrasonic received beams simultaneously by parallel and simultaneous reception techniques using less received beam formers.

SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 10 includes: ultrasonic transmission and reception means 14, 15, and 16 which obtain a plurality of received signals by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to and from a patient using a plurality of ultrasonic vibrators 15 a plurality of received beam formers 17A and 17B forming the ultrasonic received beams from the received signals and deflection means19A, 19B and 21 which impart time delay to at least one of a plurality of beam former output signals from the received beam formers 17A and 17B and thereafter mutually adds thereof to form deflected ultrasonic received beams.
