The invention relates to veneering ceramics for dental restorations of framework ceramics made of yttrium-stabilized zirconium dioxide. The aim of the invention is to produce a translucent veneering ceramic that has great bending strength and adheres very well to the framework ceramic made of yttrium-stabilized zirconium dioxide. In a veneering ceramic of dental restorations made of yttrium-stabilized zirconium dioxide, said aim is achieved by producing the veneering ceramic from the following components: a) 58.0-74.0 wt.% of SiO2 b) 4.0-19.0 wt.% of AI2O3 c) 5.0-17.0 wt.% of Li2O d) 4.0-12.0 wt.% of Na2O e) 0.5-6.0 wt.% of ZrO2.
