The invention relates to a device (1A) for use with a blister pack having a tray (42) that defines an array of discrete cavities (44) that are closed by a seal (46). Consumer products (e.g. medication such as pills, tablets and capsules) are stored in the cavities until they are dispensed through the seal (46). The device (1A) includes a holder (2) that supports the blister pack and includes channels (20, 22) that define a dispensing chamber into which the contents of the blister pack cavities can be dispensed. The blister pack is supported by the holder (2) in use with the open mouth of each cavity (44) facing the channels (20, 22) such that when the contents of a cavity are dispensed through the seal (46) they are received in the channels. The device (1A) further includes an electronic module (30) that is releasably connected to the holder (2) by a suitable connection feature. The electronic module (30) includes electronic monitoring means for monitoring each circuit that is provided on the seal (46) in the form of a pattern of electrically conductive tracks.
