PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can be made thin and compact as a product and enables flexibility of component arrangement method to be improved.SOLUTION: An air conditioner is configured by providing a doughnut-shaped dust collecting filter and/or a deodorizing filter which are a filter part 4, and a fan motor 3 at a concentric position and in a direction vertical to the direction of a depth D1 which is a thin thickness direction of a housing 1. Since the filter part 4 and the fan motor 3 are not arranged side by side not only in the direction of a height H1 that is a thick direction of the housing 1 and the direction of a width W1 but also the direction of the depth D1 which is the thin thickness direction, a product can be made thin and compact. Also, by horizontally arranging a component such as a humidifier 5 in a lower space 7 inside the housing 1 or the like, the flexibility of a component arrangement method can be improved. Further, structurally, since ventilation is made possible efficiently and surely in the entire area of the filter part 4 from the outer peripheral direction of the fan motor 3 and air uniformly passes through to the filter part 4, the life of the filter part 4 can be prolonged.
