PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a makeup-removing agent such as an oil agent which has an excellent makeup-removing ability and excellent sense of use, and such as a cleansing agent or a nail enamel remover which contains the oil agent, has an excellent makeup-removing ability, and is excellent in a sense of use.SOLUTION: This makeup-removing agent contains a diester of a dicarboxylic acid represented by the following formula (1) with a polyoxyethylene monoalkyl ether represented by the following formula (2).
