An agricultural harvester includes a chassis； at least one ground engaging traction member connected to the chassis； a cleaning system held by the chassis and configured to clean crop material； and an elevator (60) supplied with the crop material. The elevator (60) includes a housing (74) having a crop material inlet (76) that receives the crop material, a boot porion (78) that forms a bottom of the housing (74), an air inlet (76) and an air outlet； a plurality of paddles (88) configured to convey the crop material through the housing (74) and away from the boot porion (78) in a generally vertical direction. A hinged wall section (126,132) is provided for a boot door and head door and includes a flexible steel sheet (122) having a UHMW-PE material plastic or other durable wear resistant flexible material overlying the sheet (122) and facing the interior of the elevator (60).
