<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can sufficiently increase the strength of a connection between a balloon and a shaft tube, even if the material strength of the balloon is not excessively increased. <；P>；SOLUTION: This balloon catheter 1 is equipped with the shaft tube 3, an inner tube 5 which is inserted into the inner cavity of the shaft tube 3, and the balloon 7 provided at the distal end of the shaft tube 3. Structurally, the inner tube 5 is partially led out from the distal end of the shaft tube 3 and passed through the inside of the balloon 7； the distal-end side of the balloon 7 is joined to the inner tube 5； and the proximal-end side thereof is joined to the shaft tube 3. In a structure of the balloon 7, a joint 31, which is joined to the shaft tube 3 on the proximal-end side, is formed in such a shape as to have a tubularly formed part 31a, and the side of the outer peripheral surface of the tubular part 31a is fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the shaft tune 3. <；P>；COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
