The present invention discloses a device (10) for dispensing a substance for insects or mites, the device comprising a container (30) holding a liquid formulation comprising said substance and a substrate (11), the container having a dispensing nozzle that can discharge the formulation in a controlled manner onto said substrate. The substrate may be porous or non porous and the container may be in physical contact with the substrate or suspended above.
