PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a pet animal gum obtaining the pet animal gum which allows a pet to visually recognize meat of an animal for keeping interested in the pet animal gum, and by which the pet continues to chew the portion consisting of the animal skin as with the meat so that sufficient toothbrushing effect can be obtained.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a pet animal gum comprises the steps of: preparing a rod-like core food material by carrying out dry curing of an animal skin； preparing an undried meat material by mincing a fresh meat of an animal； and drying the meat material while attaching the meat material to the rod-like core food material in which surface therearound in the longer direction is covered with the meat material so that the meat material is largely shrunk compared with the rod-like core food material to integrate the meat material with the rod-like core food material.【課題】動物の肉を視認させることで愛玩動物の興味を高めた状態を保ちつつ、動物の皮から構成された部分も併せて咀嚼を続けさせることで、十分な歯磨き効果を得ることが可能な愛玩動物用ガムを得るための愛玩動物用ガムの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】動物の皮を乾燥硬化させて棒状芯食材を用意し、動物の生肉をミンチ状にした未乾燥の肉材を用意し、棒状芯食材の長手方向に対する周りの表面を一周して覆うように肉材を棒状芯食材に付着させた状態で肉材部分を乾燥させることで、棒状芯食材よりも肉材を大きく収縮させて、肉材を棒状芯食材と一体化させることで愛玩動物用ガムを製造する。【選択図】図１
