edible composition for use as a moisture barrier or moisture resistant structure, and, foodstuff is provided with an edible composition composed, based on the total weight of the composition, of a) to 50% by weight of a dairy ingredient having a low mineral content in terms of ash content of 5,5% by weight or less, (b) to 25% by weight of a cocoa component having a low mineral content in terms of ash of 4,5% (c) o to 2% by weight of an emulsifier chosen from the list consisting of acetic acid esters of fatty acid mono and diglycerides, fatty acid mono- and diglyceride lactic acid esters, citric acid esters of fatty acid mono- and diglycerides, and polyglycerol polyricinoleate. d) a fatty component, e) 60% by weight, of at least one sugar and / or polyol, of which the saturated solution has a water activity of at least 0.84; where (i) the total fat content of the composition is 25 to 60% by weight and (ii) the content of component b) is at least 2% by weight or the content of component c) is at least 0.3% by weight if the content of component (a) is less than 5%.
