PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgery table for supporting a patient in a multiplicity of positions to effect medical procedures.SOLUTION: The surgery table 10 utilizes first and second supports 14, 16 that are hingedly attached to one another to form a frame, and has a platform. First and second connectors 28, 30 hold the first and second support members to first and second piers. Each pier is formed with a base and an upward extending structure having a positioning mechanism 56, 58 for each connector and support member being held. Each positioning mechanism utilizes a column and a first arm 60. The proximal portion of the first arm is axially rotatable relative to the first column. A second arm 66 possesses a proximal portion and a distal portion such that the second arm proximal portion is axially rotatable relative to the distal portion of the first arm. The second arm distal portion links to the frame via a connector.
