Exposing the patient with X or Gamma rays at a distance from the patient is called teletheraphy. The patient body contour irregular. But the radiation beam parameters are measured for flat surface. To find out the radiation dose to the tumor volume, radiation dose computation is done using treatment planning software programs. Using this planning, radiation exposure beam entry points on the patient surface can be found out. This beam entry points from the plan has to be transferred to the patient. This beam direction device is used for this transfer purpose. This is a mechanical system with patient cot and beam transferring mechanism. This beam transferring mechanism can reel over the patient so that any point on the body surface can be marked for the beam entry point while the patient is laying comfortably in the treatment position.
