The present invention provides a process of preparing the solid oral pharmaceutical compositions comprising fixed dose combination of acetaminophen, dicyclomine and dextropropoxyphene or salts thereof. In particular, the present invention provides a process of preparing the solid oral pharmaceutical compositions comprising fixed dose combination of acetaminophen, dicyclomine and dextropropoxyphene or salts thereof, one or more alkalizers, and other pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The compositions of the present invention exhibit improved/faster dissolution profile of one or more active ingredients. The invention further provides a process of preparing the process of preparing said pharmaceutical compositions and their use as antispasmodic.
