摘要:
The concurrent administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy has beenconsidered a contraindication because of the concern that the inducedlymphopenia would ablate therapeutic efficacy of immunotherapy. Temozolomidehas been shown to be an effective chemotherapeutic for patients with malignantgliomas and to deprive patients with glioblastoma (GBM) patients of this agentin order to treat with immunotherapy is controversial. Despite conventionaldogma, we demonstrate that both chemotherapy and immunotherapy can bedelivered concurrently without negating the effects of immunotherapy, hi fact, the temozolomide induced lymphopenia may actually be synergistic with apeptide vaccine.
