PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturizable apparatus for housing a lead capable of locking the rotation of a reel with little restriction on design.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for housing the lead for a pet is equipped with a reel 9 normally rotating when delivering the lead 6, accumulating urging force, reversibly rotating, and winding the lead, a plurality of pawls 53 integrated with the reel, and arranged in a protruding form on the circumference of a concentric circle outward in the radial direction, a locking pin 56 having an engaging part 60 rotatably supported on the outside of the pawls, and elongated at right angles to the rotating shaft, an urging member 57 for rotating the locking pin, and a body 2 for housing thereof in the interior. The pawls have both an engaging surface 54 elongating outward in the radial direction, and facing to the normal rotative direction and a pressing surface 55 facing to the reverse rotative direction, respectively and the engaging part has a latching surface 73 at the tip, and a contact part P on the lateral face. When the locking pin rotates the tip side of the engaging part to the reel side with the urging member, the latching surface latches the engaging surface to prevent the normal rotation of the reel and the contact part presses the pressing surface to prevent the reverse rotation.
