A female urinary catheter 1 comprises an elongate tubular body 2 and a handle 5. The elongate tubular body portion 2 includes a rounded and closed insertion end 3 and an open connection end 4, and one or more apertures. The apertures create ports which are positioned proximately to the rounded closed insertion end 3. The handle 5 projects from the elongate tubular body 2 portion and is spaced a distance away from the rounded closed insertion end 3, thereby defining a portion configured for insertion. The catheter 1 is made from a substantially rigid material and forms a single piece.
