PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel having a fishing line-engaging device using properly both functions of a line stop and a delivery stopper (adjusting a terminal tackle to a fish swimming layer) without trouble during actual fishing, and making a wide response.SOLUTION: The fishing reel includes the fishing line-engaging device 30 designed to form a through-hole 17 in a spool 10 for winding a fishing line L, insert a shaft part 40b of an engaging member 40 having a fishing line engaging part 40a into the through-hole 17, elastically engage the shaft part in an anti-slip manner, and thereby allow the nipping of the fishing line between the fishing line engaging part 40a and the spool 10.
